About
This site was about the search for an ancestor named, ” ? Cox,” named so by Henry Miller Cox, in his genealogical tome, “Cox Family in America.” The searchers, Evelyn Leinbach and Dale Cox, distant cousins working independently, unknown to the other, found interesting discoveries, themselves, and a fascinating story along the way.
While the story and this blog focus on the search for “? Cox,” (whom we now know to be Edward Cox), his sons, Edward and William Cox, their children and contemporaries are an interesting story in their own right as they followed Robert Owen and William Maclure to New Harmony in 1825.
Now – this site is now about connections – to everyone and everything.
