At the suggestion of the Chairman, Saml Bolton read some extracts from the Newspaper, Young America, No. 31, as an explanation of the object of the Meeting.
It was then Resolved that a Committee of three be appointed to draft Rules and Regulations for the action of such Society.
Resolved that Saml Bolton, Chas H White, and Wm Cox be that Committee.
The Meeting Adjourned by consent to Saturday Evening next Nov. 15th at Seven O’Clock.

The Sec read the Report of the Committee on the Rules and Regulations for the Society which were adopted and Wm Cox Elected President, Chas H White Sec — and Robt Gullet Tres.
Rules and Regulations of the New Harmony Free Land Association
Believing all Men are Created Equal; That they are endowed by Nature with certain inalienable rights; among which are the Right to Such a portion of the Earth as shall be sufficient to provide each with the means of Subsistance and Comfort, and that no Man can by natural rightpossess more than a limited portion of it.
That we hereby form ourselves into a Society, which shall be known by the name of the New Harmony Free Land Association.
To prevent monopoly of the Public Lands, and to secure the benefits of it to actual Settlers; giving to every Citizen wishing to settle on the Land, a claim, to a portion sufficient for his actual use and occupancy.
The Officers of the Society shall be a President, Secretary, and Tresurer, Elected by the Members, and shall hold their Office for three months.
That the funds of the Society, shall be collected when necessary by the Secretary, and paid by him to the Tresurer. And shall only be applied for the necessary expenses of Light, &c. And for the Tracts and papers, decided by the Society, as a means of furthering the declared object.
